Little Haul Of Bargains

As you all probably know Boots currently have a 3 for 2 offer on all make up. When they are being so generous to us it would have been rude to not take them up on it, right? I was very good and picked up two things I actually needed rather than things off my wish list. My Collection concealer has run out and as much as I love it I want to try something new so I got the Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer for £7.50. The main selling point was the applicator is much more hygenic than a doe foot one and I really like the serum from the range. Next I repurchased the Seche Vite Top Coat for £9. It's just perfect- long lasting, fast drying and super duper glossy. Finally I got another Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti making my purse £7.99 lighter. I actually really wanted Sweet Tart but I have so many pink lippies and this one is a really nice sheer orange colour perfect for if we ever do get a Spring in England.
After a trip to the hair dressers for a little trim I popped into a couple of charity shops because I need more storage for my make up. I got a really cute fish dish (try repeating that quickly) which is now home for all my mascaras. It was only £1! I also got a floral little jug which is so cute and only set me back £1.25. I really love picking little bits like these to store make up in because it is so cheap and looks really cute. Muji storage is so nice but its a little boring and hugely over priced.

Have you taken advantage of Boots 3 for 2? Found any charity shop gems?

Dainty Doll Haul

Just before the post-There has been a bit of caos in the blogging world today about GFC being cut. Google are shutting down a different aspect but they haven't set a date for when GFC will go. Just in case anything happens it would be great if you could follow with the pink Bloglovin' button at the side bar. Better to be safe then sorry!

You have probably all seen lots of Dainty Doll hauls recently so hopefully you aren't sick of them just yet. I ordered a few things of Fragrance Direct for bargain prices and I am very happy with some bits but disappointed with others. If you're thinking of picking up a few bits then this will help you know what to get and what to avoid.

Concealer in 001:
I hate this concealer. It's in a compact so I was expecting something creamy but it is very very powdery and dry to the touch which makes it extremely difficult to get any product out. I've tried to work with it but it is completely useless and I wish I hadn't even wasted £1.99 on it.

Kohl Eyeliner in 003 :
I decided to add this to the basket to because it is so cheap and I have a brown cream eyeliner but not a kohl one. Again I find this difficult to work with as the texture is not creamy enough and it is hard to get product out. I do still use this although it takes more effort then I would like.

My Girl Powder Blush:
On a more positive side I adore this blush. The packaging feels sleek and expensive and it's handy to have such a big mirror. It has a fine milled texture that blends perfectly and it is so well pigmented. The colour is quite a cool toned pink with  silver glitter running through. You guys know I love a glittery pink blush!

Orange Country Girl Cream Blush:
This cream blush is another hit! I googled for swatches before I got this and new I had to have it. It's completely different to anything I have in my collection. On the cheeks it gives a gorgeous gold sheen which personally I love but it might not be to everyone's taste. I was a little worried that the red colour would end up looking constantly embarrassed but when applied with a stippling brush it just works.

The blushes made the whole order completely worth it for me. I actually really wish I had got more colours but I am greedy. If you're thinking of getting something then I would recommend getting the blushes and steering clear of the concealer.

Have you tried Dainty Doll?

Beauty Haul!

I cannot stop buying make up! I got so many lovely things for Christmas I don't need more but I need to stop 'treating' myself so often. It is all so tempting! Hauls are some of my most popular posts so here are the things I've gotten in the last few weeks.

My Nan surprised me this year with a lot of money for Christmas and I was very sensible putting most of it away for a gap year but kept some to buy the Naked 2 palette. I've been lusting after it forever because it is so raved about. It lives up to the hype! All of the colours are creamy and very pigmented so it justifies the hefty price tag. I also picked up the Primer Potion a few days later because it would be ludicrous to spend £50 on eyeshadows all at once but in my head it is totally fine separately I got this because all of a sudden my eyelids turned extremely oily and the MUA primer wasn't cutting it any more. This is fantastic for keeping eyeshadow looking perfect all day!

If you read my Best & Worst Highstreet Products of 2012 Tag you will know I said the Revlon Lip Butters were the most disappointing product of 2012 for me. As they are currently on offer for a fiver I decided to give it a second chance so I got Raspberry Pie. On the positive side I absolutely love this colour and have already worn it a lot. It does have really nice texture and decent staying power but there isn't much product at all and the texture means it will get used up quickly. I'm glad I didn't pay full price to be honest.

I decided to go for the Sleek Brow Palette because I am in desperate need of better brows as its time to say goodbye to the full fringe. The MUA eyebrow pencil has a great price tag but it looked a little to ginger on me. This was £8.49 which I think is pretty pricey for Sleek but lots of people love it. I've only used it once and the colour is a good match. It's surprisingly easy to use plus it doesn't make your eyebrows look drawn on which is great.

A blog sale bargain I got is the Illamasqua blush in Katie. I hate the bulky plastic packaging of this especially considering Illamasqua is a high end brand. The actual blush is a gorgeous pale pink. It looks amazing on pale skin to give a subtle pink glow. I was a little worried it could be too cool toned but it works. This paired with Mac Creme Cup gives the perfect pink look for pale girls.

Finally I was lucky enough to win a YSL Glossy Stain  from Anna's blog onthedressingtable.blogspot.co.uk . I was having a rubbish week of exam stress so it was a fantastic pick me up! It's so generous of Anna to give away such an expensive luxury item and I am very excited to own one. No doubt there will be a full post on it when it arrives.

That's everything I've bought recently. Have you treated yourself to anything nice?

Bargain Of The Fortnight #4: Boxing Day Haul

It seems like this feature had an unintended break. Oops! Now the festive season is nearly over normal schedule will return.
On Boxing Day I got up bright and early to go to the sales. It was so hectic but worth it because I'm very happy with all the bargains I got. Here they are!

Soap and Glory Glow Business Set £30 £15:
This includes the Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser (£10), You Wont Believe Your Eyes Serum (£10.50) and Bright Here Bright Now Radiance Balm (£11). I'm very happy with this purchase as I needed a new eye cream and a hot cloth cleanser. Considering how much these products cost each and how pretty the tub will look in my room it was an amazing bargain. I can't way to see if it perks up my dull skin!

Sanctuary Spa Gift Set £20 £10:
I picked up this gift set for my Mum because she loves Sanctuary products. It contains a body wash, body scrub, bath soak, body lotion  body butter and hand cream. The body wash and body butter are full size and the rest are minis.

Vera Wang Princess Eau De Toilette Gift Set £34 £22:
Sorry for the stock photo! I ordered this online from Boots on Christmas Eve (ridiculous I know) for store pick up so I have to wait until New Years Eve to pick it up. I got a sample of this in the Manchester meet up goody bag and  have been using it almost everyday. I love that it lasts literally all day which is pretty rare for a perfume never mind an Eau De Toilette. Normally I'd never have considered this but that's the beauty of samples.

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel, Party Popper Bath Bomb and Golden Wonder Bath Bomb
All this came to £6.24! All the Christmas products were half price and as soon as I payed at the till I wished I'd gotten more.  Zoella has raved about Snow Fairy shower gel before so I decided to pick it up. It smells like pear drops! I love Lush but this is the first time I've tried their bath bombs because I thought they are expensive and I  thought I wouldn't like bath bombs . Last night I used the Party Popper and I am converted. This could be the start of an obsession!

Topshop Cut Out Cross Dress £38 £15
It was so hard to photograph this dress! It is a silver grey colour with a gorgeous gold metallic sheen. The photo is the back of the dress otherwise it would be very revealing! It has a gorgeous cut out cross detail on the back. I may do an outfit post because it looks so much better on.

Topshop Checked Shirt £32 £18
To be honest £18 isn't really a bargain but I've been wanting a checked shirt for ages and the colour and fit of this is perfect. It has cute gem like studs on the shoulders and it is soft material. Perfect for a comfy college outfit.

Did you get any good bargains in the sales?

What I Got For Christmas!

As I'm a very nosey person I love seeing what everyone else got for Christmas. This year I was lucky enough to be treated to some lovely presents from family and friends. Of course this is in no way bragging and I am extremely grateful for everything I have received.

Lush Moustache Bubble bar, Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly
Covergirl Lash Blast Fusion Mascara
Elf Eyeshadow Brush, Foundation Brush, Mist and Set Spray

Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch, Grape Vine and Cherry Me
Topshop Oh La La Lipstick

Stila Lipgloss Set

Benefit Erase Paste
Elle Make Up Bags
Bohoo Slimfit Onzie and Amazon Goat Hot Water Bottle

FUJIFILM FinePix HS30 Bridge Digital Camera

The camera was my main present of my parents and I'm over the moon with it. I had to pay £150 towards it which I got from College for the voluntary work I do. This is the most expensive portable thing I own!

What did you get for Christmas?

♡Haul- Superdrug, Boots, TK Max & Blog Sales♡

At the moment I am saving up for AA riding pants so I shouldn't really be doing a haul! Nothing broke the bank at least. In fact most of these were a pretty good bargains and boy am I a sucker for a bargain. Anyway on with the haul!

Revlon Lip Butter £1, Mac Full Speed Sheen Supreme Lipstick £2, Illamasqua Blaze Lipstick £5,
Laura Mercier Camilla Lip Glace £4, Bare Esecentuals Precision Brush £1.40
You may recognise these from my past post Bargain Of The Week #3. Everything is from blog sales! My favourite of the lot is the illamasqua lipstick because I would never have picked it for myself but it looks gorgeous on. The Laura Mercier lipgloss  is amazing colour, texture and lasts for a good few hours, perfect! I've been getting good use from the brush as the tapered end is perfect for bring eyeshadow below the lash line. I'll admit I haven't had a chance to try out the lip butter or Mac lipstick yet but I love the Mac lipstick as again I wouldn't have picked it out. It's so easy to get stuck in a comfort zone.

Jemma Kid Rose Palette £4.99
I picked up this Jemma Kidd palette from TK Max a couple of weeks ago so I'm not sure if there will be any left. It did come with a lipstick but I sold that in my blog sale as the colour wasn't for me. The eyeshadows and blush have a gorgeous creamy texture and blend so well. The colours are all wearable and flattering for my pale skin. I love it!

Sleek Au Natural Palette £7.99
Another palette I picked up the other day. Going to College so close to Boots and Superdrug is dangerous for a beauty addict! I've heard so much about this and sleek in general so it was time to give it a go. The colours are quite dark so I'm looking forward to seeing what looks I can create.

Lee Stafford As Ruff As You Like £5
Finally I caved in and spent some of my boots points. I recently got my hair cut into a very short bob so I wanted a wax product that would give it some texture to avoid the bowl cut look. It isn't sticky but it gives texture that lasts all day. So far I love it!

Have you tried any of these products?

♡Collective Haul♡

I've picked up quite a few make up bits and some skincare recently so here is a collective haul to show you all the pretty things I treated myself to and some gifts too!

Sephora Full Effects Mascara, Sephora Miami Pink Lip Gloss,
Sephora  Purple Glitter Eye Liner
We don't have Sephora in the UK so my very lovely American Aunt and cousin sent me over a few little bits for my birthday. One day I really want to do a make up swap with someone from across the pond! I love the lip gloss because it reminds me of being a kid- pink & glitter! (Swatch further down). Plus the formulation isn't too sticky and the wand is a really cool shape. The purple eye liner is packed full of amazing multi-coloured glitter too. Sprinkle Of Glitter would be oh so proud! I haven't tried any of the other products yet but if there is anything you would like a full review on let
me know.

Nail Rock Designer Nail Wraps £6.65, Batiste Wild Dry Shampoo £2.50
The other day my Mum went to the opening of a new Simply Be shop in Manchester Arndale. She got a great goody bag and gave me these bits from it! Batiste is a brand I have tried before and I know many people love it but I don't seem to get along with it. I find the scents  unpleasantly powdery and the white powder on the hair can be difficult to brush out. Since I got it free I'll give it another try! Once again late on the craze, I actually have never tried nail wraps before. I love leopard print so I am excited to use these very soon.

MUA Cream Blush in Bitter Sweet £2, MUA Blush in Shade 2 £1

Swatches from left to right: MUA Powder Blush, MUA Cream Blush
and Sephora Miami Pink Lip Gloss
MUA is a brand I have talked about before. If you're selective you can find some great products so it''s fantastic for people on a budget! The blushes are soft and blend-able although the powder blush is much more pigmented than the cream blush. If you want to read a full review on the new cream blushes click here to see what AThriftyMrs says.

Good Things Fresh Start Cleanser £4.99, Good Things Five  Minute Facial Mask £5.99
( When full price)
I bought this face mask and face wash after hearing Zoe, Cole's Mum, talk about them on youtube. She said that her daughter gets under the skin spots (sort of like little colourless spots) and another skin care blogger recommend that she tries out Good Things products. It is an affordable brand especially for teenagers which is exactly what I need! And they are currently half price in Sainsburys so I had to buy them. Apparently they have been effective for Zoe's daughter so I am looking forward to giving them a go. Both the mask and face wash smell gorgeously fruity!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Ivory Nude £27.50,
MAC pump £3.50
Expensive I know but I can justify it! I have very pale skin with yellow undertones and anyone who is the in the same boat will agree it is very difficult to find a foundation to match. I got sick of using the wrong colour foundation because it is after all the base so you need to get it right. After a bit of thought, I figured it would end up more economical to splash out on a high end foundation than keep buying lots of high street foundations that aren't right. The woman at the Estee Lauder counter was very lovely and matched me up to the shade Ivory Nude. I did a lot of research before buying it and one of the reasons I chose it is for the wide colour range which makes it more likely to get a better colour match. I really like it so far but I haven't used it enough yet to give any fair opinions so expect a full review in the not too distant future!

Mini Haul!

This is only a very tiny haul but I just thought I'd show you some of the stuff I've picked up recently.

First of all is the L'oreal Mythic Oil that I bought from Feel Unique. I got in the sale for about £12 rather then £15. I'm not really into hair care but because I straighten my hair every day its not in great condition so I'm hoping this oil will change that. It contains  avocado oil which is good for your hair but it isn't silicone free. So far I really like the scent of this and how it makes my hair feathery soft.

Next up is the Revlon Just Bitten Lip Balm & Stain in Cherish. I picked this up because I already have one in Honey which I like but I wanted a lighter pink. It looks scary in the tube but its not so bright on the lips. These will be great for college as they last all day without drying your lips out. Well worth the hype!

Finally is the Real Techniques Core Collection. I actually won these in a youtube give away from Mae. She has the cutest blog and youtube that you should definitely check out. I was so excited to win these as I've entered a lot of give aways but this is the first time I have won. Thank you again Mae! My first impression of the set is great. I was shocked at how quickly the buffing brush gave in a flawless application. All the other brushes work great to but that is definitely the star of the set.

New In: Zara Bucket Bag

A few days ago I finally got my mits on the famous bucket bag from zara for £39.99 (why can't it just be £40?). I'm in love with this bag. It makes me feel all classy and posh.

BUT..
No one told me how heavy it is! Not looking forward to lugging this around college.
On the brightside, I'll have arms like popeye soon!
