Benefit Brow Bar

Yesterday I toddled to Benefit to get my eyebrows waxed. When I was searching for information on it I struggled to find useful posts so I thought I'd do one. Be prepared for a rambly and hopefully informative post.

Lets start with my eyebrow history. I actually only started plucking them a year a go and then I started going to Superdrug to get them threaded. Oh how that hurts! I was always left unimpressed by the customer service and threading left my eyes streaming which is pretty embarrassing. Plus the shape wasn't very good and if I was going to embarrass myself I at least wanted to have good brows at the end.

It was when I was chatting to some lovely Benebabes at the Leeds Launch of Fine One One that I realised Benefit really know there thing when it comes to brows. So it didn't take much convincing for me to pay my local Benefit a visit for some much needed eyebrow tlc. It costs £11.50 for a brow arch which is twice as much as Superdrug but you get what you pay for.

I made an appointment in advance as the service is very popular so they get booked up. When I arrived they were running perfectly on time and I was sat down to fill in a little form. I was recommended to get a tint and brow arch, which is a wax, but as that comes to a pricey £18 I went for just the waxing. So the actually waxing process was pretty much painless and over very fast. There was a slight stinging but not anything like threading. My forehead was left as red as a tomato but that was quickly sorted out with some concealer. Then my brows were filled in with some Brow Zing and I was good to go. It only took around 10 to 15 minutes in total! The Benebabe that did my eyebrow was lovely and I have found this with lots of Benefit counters.
Below you can see the sorry state of eyebrows before and the difference afterwards.

I am very happy with the end result. It's hard to see what a mess they were before but you can see how lifted and more arched they look. I have already booked an appointment with the same woman for a months time and I will be treating myself to a tint too. I really recommend trying out Benefit Brow Bar if you haven't already.

Have you tried the brow bar? Where do you get your brows done?

  1. Wow, that sounds great! I always struggle with my eyebrows because they are quite sparse. They have a similar shape to yours before the waxing and I never knew you could actually make them have a arch, if they haven't had one naturally. That's cool - I think I will have them done some time soon, as well. :)
    Thanks for all the information!

  3. I've had my eyebrows waxed before, and it's so quick and you can get a great shape. Haven't had them done by benefit before though so maybe I should try it out?

  6. They look really nice. I prefer waxing to threading too, threading was too painful for me and I was bleeding afterwards as well! xoxo.

    1. I didn't know it could make you bleed! Yeah it isn't very pleasant especially in the middle of Superdrug with people staring x

    1. Really? The unprofessionals can do an amazing job but I'm jealous of people that can shape well at home x

  8. Wow they look fab! I pluck my own but it takes forever and although I have a shape in mind, all I can manage is a general tidy up of my natural shape. Useless, haha. Did you get this done in Manchester?

  9. Wow, what a difference! They look great! My brows are super sparse (definitely over-plucked when I was younger), so always looking for tips to make them look better. Anastasia Brow Powder is my favourite :)

  10. Hello! Ahh they look great. I just pluck mine but find it takes forever and I get really irritated with myself! DO they do this at every benefit stand. I only have a small one in my local boots, and have never noticed this advertised. xx
